I didn't ever get very serious or consistent about running until after I married a runner. I got pretty regular for a little while before my first pregnancy.. but didn't keep my real workouts going for very long that time. Then I got back into running when that baby was a few months old... nothing amazing. I got better Fall of 2009. Ran my 5k PR on Thanksgiving, then 2 weeks later, found out I was pregnant with #2. Gotta love it. So, with the crazy winter we had, I didn't run much the first couple of months, but got back with it in March. From there, I ran through the rest of the pregnancy, right up to my due date ( had to be induced the next week). I think the running helped though, cause that was the easiest birth I could ever have dreamed of... loved it. And I felt great the whole pregnancy... so it was a positive experience.
Anyway, I started running again when the Rock was about 2 and a half weeks old. Quick, I know... but I felt good and wanted to get out there. I didn't start running all 6 days in the week until October-ish, but I have been working hard and feeling good. Hoping for some new PR's in the coming years. 5k's are all I've really done though... so should be pretty easy.
MY PR's:
5k: 24:41 (Thanksgiving 2010)
24:49 (Thanksgiving 2009)
Pregnancy 5k: 26:13 (28 weeks along)
Pregnancy 800m: 3:24 (30 weeks along)
